Think about what you are looking for in a career. What are the things that you value – prestige, creativity, flexible hours, independence, high income, interactions with people, opportunities for advancement, or some other satisfaction from your work life?

In your free time, conduct some research into the different options to learn more about them.

- Set some deadlines for the steps to achieve your goals.
- What are some possible blocks or obstacles that might get in the way of you achieving your goals?
- Have you decided on where you will complete your tertiary studies (e.g. capital city, regional town, overseas)? Will you live at home during your study or live away from your family?
- When you finish your studies, where would you like to live and work? Do you want to live in Sydney or travel to another place in Australia or overseas?
- Do you have a particular passion that you want to pursue?
- Are there solid employment opportunities in your chosen field? Do you want to work in an existing business or be self-employed?
