PBL and National Day of Action Against Bullying
How should I deal with bullying?
Who should I go to for help?
Things that will help:
Things that won't help:
- Tell a teacher or support person as soon as possible after the problem has occurred. This will allow you to resolve the situation before it gets any worse and will reduce your stress and worry
- Discuss the issue with your family. You must let teachers know about it first. It is harder to resolve if you wait until you go home before you talk to an adult about it
Things that won't help:
- Keeping it to yourself until you lose your temper and lash out. If you touch another student even if they have touched you first, there are consequences.
- Telling teachers after you have lashed out that there is a problem
- Putting up with the issue. Telling someone is not dobbing. Everybody has the right to feel safe and secure at school and so do you.
